Blephilia ciliata, commonly known as downy wood mint, downy pagoda-plant, or Ohio horsemint, is a clump-forming herbaceous perennial native to central and eastern North America.

Belonging to the mint family (Lamiaceae), it is highly celebrated for its distinctive, stacked flower clusters and its exceptional value to native pollinators. Unlike many aggressively spreading true mints, downy wood mint stays well-behaved in a garden setting.

Grows 1-2.5' tall and spreads slowly via a central taproot and laterial rhizomes to form tidy clumps.

Plant in full sun to partial shade in well-drained, average to dry soils.

Host plant for at least 11 species of Lepidoptera.
