Triadenum virginicum, commonly known as Virginia marsh St. John's-wort grows 12-28 inches tall, and has pink flowers blooming from July through October.
This species thrives in wet soils, swamps, bogs, marshes, and along the edges of ponds or slow-moving streams, and grows best in full sun to partial shade. Does best in bright morning sun and light afternoon shade. Great rain garden addition!
Specialized host plant for the Gall Midge, Neolasioptera triadenii, which will induce stem swellings on the plant.
