Dwar, or Slender Blazing Star grows from 1.5-2′ tall, and blooms from July to September.  Plant this in full sun, and it tolerates dry soil well.  It is considered a showy flower, that is attractive to hummingbirds!

Host plant for the larvae of both the Liatris flower moth (Schinia sanguinea) and the Liatris borer moth (Carmenta anthracipennis).
